Ghandruk is the famous Gurung village at 2,010m (6,600ft), is located northwest of the lakeside city of Pokhara. It is one of the best trekking destinations for the travelers. It is the second biggest village in Annapurna region. As Ghandruk is also a route to the Annapurna Base Camp and Poon hill, it is a popular place for treks in the Annapurna range of Nepal. From Pokhara it takes 42 kilometers drive and 5–6 hours walking distance. It is a very easy and short trek that offers a glimpse mountain with the beautiful village of Ghandurk and Gurung’s unique culture.

Ghandruk is one of the largest settlements of the Gurung peoples. One can easily get into Ghandruk’s Gurung culture as local Gurung people welcomes the tourist by offering them to wear Gurung ornaments make them take photographs. Ghandruk seems the perfect blend of natural majesty and cultural diversity.
The beautiful gorge of Modi Khola flows from north to south between the huge Annapurna and Machhapuchre mountain ranges, the panoramic views of Ghandruk begins amid networks of terraced farmland from the gorge up towards west leading to the beautiful slate roofed village houses bordered by spectacular rhododendron forest to the west.
